Heinonen’s experts into the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys

Attorney at Law, Specialist Counsel, Trademark Attorney Kati Rantala and European Trademark and Design Attorney Kitty Zarbock have been accepted as members of the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys. At the same time, the Association accepted Associate Minna Hokkanen and Patent Agents Kalle Koskisto and Akseli von Koch as junior members.

Established in 1928, the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys is an association of industrial property rights professionals, its purpose being maintaining honest and professional conduct of attorneys and supporting its members in practising their profession while cherishing the good ethical standards of an attorney.

A person elected into the association must have a university degree, be an authorised attorney, and have represented and given consultation to clients in matters related to patents, trademarks, utility models and designs as a full-time attorney for a minimum of six years. A person qualifies as a junior member of the Association if they have a university degree and have worked as an attorney for at least two years in a company providing intellectual property rights services. The aim of the required professional qualifications is to ensure that the members of the Association of Finnish Patent Attorneys are experienced and competent attorneys who attend to their clients’ interests as best as possible and maintain good ethical standards in their operation.

Already before the new admissions, our office has been represented in the Association: European Patent Attorney, European Trademark and Design Attorney, IPR Attorney Juhani Kupiainen has been a full member of the Association; Attorney at Law, Managing Partner, Trademark Attorney Petteri Häkkänen has been a national member; and Patent Attorney Regina Pudas and Patent Attorney Serja Aaltonen  have been junior members.
