We are now hiring an innovative problem solver

to a position of patent agent trainee at our office in downtown Helsinki.

This position offers a rare opportunity for a close-up of the development of new ideas and technologies as well as a chance to apply technical expertise in an international business law group.

You will be working as a part of our IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) team, carrying out various duties of a patent attorney with assignments relating to different fields of technology ranging from e.g. mechanics to information technology. Our inspiring working environment is multiprofessional and international.  At our Heinonen office works a team of 15 people, most with a degree in technology or law.  Our parent company in Finland employs some 170 professionals, and the international Eversheds Sutherland as many as 5000 professionals.

University-level studies in technology provide a good basis for succeeding in this job. Studies in product development, electronics or automation are a plus, but previous experience of patenting is not necessary. We will train you for the job. This job can be tailored to suit your skills and interests. Wide-ranging interest in different fields of technology and law, a business-oriented approach and the ability to work in an international environment are the key to success in this position.

We are looking for a part-time employee to work for about 20 hours per week. The working hours can be arranged flexibly to accommodate your studies.  The traineeship lasts for approximately six months and will begin as agreed, for example in May. Salary according to agreement.

We can offer you an international and diversified working environment, a competitive salary and an opportunity to develop into a well-rounded patent and IPR specialist. To bust a myth: although we are a law firm, our working environment is pleasant and easy-going.

Interested? Don’t delay. Send a concise application with CV included to rekry@eversheds.fi by 14 April 2019 at the latest. Tell us why you in particular would be a valuable asset to our team. In addition to your CV, please include a transcript of your academic records to the application.
